Course description

Leadership for Social Change is a 3.5 day on-campus executive education program developed by faculty from the Social Innovation + Change Initiative within the Harvard Kennedy School. This program is designed for purpose-driven leaders, from any sector, to help navigate the challenges of initiating and implementing changes on pressing social and environmental issues. Participants will interact with faculty from across multiple disciplines and Harvard schools, while learning alongside a thoughtfully curated, global network of social change practitioners. Leadership for Social Change was designed to help you frame and communicate a compelling call for change, map and leverage the sources of power at their disposal, and explore which strategic choices will best position your organization to realize your long-term vision of a better world. In this program, you and an exceptional group of peers will gain insights, skills, and relationships that will help you reimagine your leadership, your impact in the world, and the strategies that will enable your success. Through faculty presentations, case studies, self-assessment exercises, simulations, workshops, videos, and small-group discussions, you will explore key leadership imperatives and the challenges leaders face in addressing them.
